Fibre-reinforced composites used in aviation help to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels. At the same time, longer flight distances are possible. Lightweight components are not only found in commercial aircrafts but also in helicopters or component parts for space travel. Here we use different materials such as carbon, glass or aramid fibres.
