Boat and yacht building

Glass fibre-reinforced plastics are highly demanded in boat and yacht building due to their outstanding characteristics such as smooth surface and no corrosion. Very often the complete hull is manufactured by hand lay-up, also parts of the superstructure and furniture are made like this. Furthermore, carbon has proven to be the best material for the making of speedboat masts due to its low weight and stability.

Material:          carbon fabric, glass fabric, aramid fibre fabric, tubular fabric, UD layers

Advantage:   no cutting, firm selvedge, seamless sleeves

Process:          hand lay-up, vacuum infusion, compression method, pultrusion
